The association Pôle Nord is based in La Chaux-de-Fonds. It brings together several sectors of activities represented by the Nouvel Ensemble Contemporain (NEC), the Concerts de Musique Contemporaine (CMC), and the biennial festival Les Amplitudes, which encompass all aspects of contemporary music from the 20th and 21st centuries.

The general mission of the Pôle Nord association is to promote contemporary music in the canton of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, and abroad. Through its diverse range of activities, it places great emphasis on the creation of works, production, and hosting of concerts, as well as supporting composers, musicians, artists, conference speakers, and researchers. It remains at the forefront of contemporary musical inquiries.

Promote contemporary music and musical creation. Foster research and innovation in this field. Offer opportunities for the public, performers, composers, as well as speakers and contributors to come together, create, reflect, and exchange ideas in a thoughtful context. Collaborate with local, cantonal, and national institutions and cultural actors.
